Birch Bark Mug

Handmade stoneware mug that has been decorated with clay slip to look like birch bark. Crisp white design has hints of pink. Holds approximately 14 ounces with room for cream and sugar. Glazed with a combination of glazes that flow from green to brown and iridescent turquoise. The outside bottom of the mug is unglazed for a nice contrast in feel to the glazed portion at the top. Comfortable thumb rest at top of handle and a surprise leaf carved on the underside of the mug is visible to others when you are drinking! Pair it with a birch spoon rest and gift it to a tea drinker.
