Pet Portrait with background

Capture the spirit of your amazing pet in their favorite place with a custom watercolor portrait by Sandra Pirie-St.Amour.

Maybe your furry friend accompanies you on longs walks in the woods. Maybe they hang out at your favorite swimming spot. Maybe they lounge by you on the couch in the evenings. Did your pet always wait by the door for the school bus to come home? Or perhaps, they sat on the top of the couch surveying the neighborhood? Did they accompany you on walks to your favorite bodega? No matter where you two went or where they liked to hang out you can remember it fondly with a beautiful piece of original art. These paintings are completely original hand-painted watercolors using your photo as reference. They are not a digital manipulations of your photo and take about 1-2 weeks to complete. You can even see it in process.

Your original watercolor will be 8"x10" or 11x14) and will be delivered in an archival mat bringing the final size to 11"x14" or 16x20. The size is small enough to fit nicely in your home office nook but large enough to get the feel of the places you enjoyed together. This is for a single pet. Doubles are available upon request.

All custom watercolors are done using the finest Winsor & Newton paints on hot press 100% cotton paper and archival acid free matting. This is a great gift idea for the animal lover in your life or to commemorate the loss of a beloved pet

HOW IT WORKS.
Once you have placed your order EMAIL the following information to me:
1. Two high quality (large and clear) pictures of your pet (preferred photo attached 1st!)
2. Please indicate the breed and eye color (photos can distort color)
3. If you have particular ideas about your portrait then please share any information about why you picked the photo you did. If I know what you love most then I will make sure to pay attention to that detail in your photo as I paint.

IS THIS A GIFT?
After the portraits are finished I often post photos on social media and in this shop as examples and I certainly don't want to spoil any surprises so please indicate if this is a gift. I will not post to my Instagram account until I know it has been gifted. I will even include a hand drawn gift card with your message.
